Letters to Mother Earth

Love letters, covenants, letters of grief and release, intentional sharings and heartfelt commitments written to Mother Earth by Trustees for Planet Earth.

The Rights of Mother Earth

Every letter in this library stands beside an older promise, the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth, presented by the peoples of the world at Cochabamba, Bolivia, from 19 to 22 April 2010, recognising Mother Earth as a living being with rights of her own, and Para PachaMama stood with that declaration from its very first year, carrying it into its circles and hosting Polly Higgins as she spoke of Earth law across Australasia. A letter to Mother Earth is that same recognition spoken from one heart, the law of the land becoming the language of love.
