From its first years in Kuranda, Para PachaMama carried a quiet calling on its Australia Grid page: to locate Australia’s Ancient crystal skull, part of the 13 skulls of Atlantis, and to hear the thoughts, visions and dreams of anyone who felt drawn to it.
That calling found its way to Lia Scallon, the Cairns singer and sound healer of Sounds of Sirius, during her Kuranda ceremonies of February 2012, when a young man in Kuranda spoke with her about the Australian Crystal Skull. That young man was Sjoerd. The same year Lia made her pilgrimage to Uluru, and in June 2012, at Mt Shasta in the United States, she met the great crystal skull she came to call Solar, a Master Skull of about 33 kilograms, and brought him home to Far North Queensland, where he made his first public appearance in September 2012 and bathed in the rays of the total solar eclipse of November 2012, the same eclipse that held the Global Elders Gathering at Yarrabah.
The spirit that came to live in Solar
When Sjoerd first met Solar, he channelled the spirit meant for the skull: a very old spirit that came into his own body and travelled with him. Some two weeks later, at Enuma Elish New Earth Sanctuary, Healing and Arts Centre, the rainforest home of Wendy and Johnny Everett beside Lawyer Creek near Ravenshoe on the Atherton Tablelands, Sjoerd transmitted that spirit into the skull, and from then on Solar carried his own presence. Lia’s photographs from Ravenshoe show Solar sitting within a copper pyramid, surrounded by violet light, and Solar kept returning to Enuma Elish in the years that followed, to the gallery of sacred mandala artist Clive Walters and to the sanctuary’s first public ceremony on Crystal Skull World Day in November 2014.

Sounds of Source at Pachamama House
On Tuesday 24 September 2013, Lia’s Sounds of Source tour of Far North Queensland came to Kuranda, hosted by Sjoerd at Pachamama House, the “New Earth Sanctuary” at 30 Barron Falls Road: a retreat house on five acres of rainforest on the Kuranda range, where Solar’s altar was laid on the eight-pointed star mosaic at the heart of the house. Kuranda held the north of a four-point journey across the region, with Cairns in the east, Mission Beach in the south and the Halloran’s Hill Observatory at Atherton in the west, hosted there by Wendy Everett.

Lia tells Solar’s story in her own words on Sounds of Sirius: ‘Solar’, Uluru and The Australian Crystal Skull, Crystal Illumination: The Master Crystal Skull Solar, the Sounds of Source Far North Queensland tour, and Enuma Elish Sacred Ceremony.
