Dearest people,
Before we launch our Global Water Ceremony calling, Meeting Water for the First Time, we would love to make you and those around you aware of the backdrop of the journey that has led us here, to a place where we ask you simply to be with Water, the most profound way you can hold ceremony with Water wherever you are, during the days of the 15th to the 18th of October.
Months ago, when we began this journey for the Nation of Waitaha, we were brought into awareness of some highly potent and mind-boggling realisations. This Global Water Gathering and the ceremonies to take place have the potential to bring forth, and allow to emerge, some of the greatest miracles we have come to know as a global community of hubeings. We learned that if we walked carefully and followed all these links, steps and watery ways, we would come to a place where together we can overwrite the radioactive imprinting taking place in the Japanese waters and the wider Pacific Ocean.
What we did not know when that video was made is that the largest Japanese contingent ever, as part of Waitaha Japan, would come to this Water Gathering. We are eternally grateful to the Peoples of Japan for hearing its significance and feeling the need to bring their presence, to reaffirm ancient relations, to restore aspects of the Greater Dreaming they have kept safe and sacred through the many Ages, and simply to be a gentle presence of Peace. For the first time ever, the 13th generation Shugendo Master and mountain priest Fumihiro Hoshino travels outside Japan to bring the sacred work, teachings and ceremonial practices of Shugendo to Aotearoa, and at sunrise on the 15th he opens the window of the Water time keeping with a Sacred Fire and Water Ceremony, staying with us for the full eight and a half days of the journey.
The droplet
When in Holland, the country with a very unique relationship with Water in so many real ways, we received a vision of Water we could never have thought up ourselves, and when we shared it back in Aotearoa with the Waitaha it linked to the Water Droplet in tear form that is held in suspension between heaven and earth.
In the country of the Water People we were shown this mysterious droplet, liquid light, blue, golden, water, essence, a round droplet between the metaphysical and the physical. We were asked to observe it, to conceive of its existence, to become aware that this one droplet holds the pure, original presence and mysterious nature of Water fully activated and radiating within itself.
One simple, small droplet of Water.
We were not asked to bless it, intend into it, heal it or change it. We were asked to see it for what it was, and we were brought to the place within ourselves where we were simply in childlike awe of the beauty, radiance and all life-giving energy present in this one small, interconnected droplet. We received awareness beyond words, a knowing of Water that defies definition, and at the same time we received absolutely nothing from it.
We were asked to bear witness that in Creation, quietly kept veiled all these eons, there exists Water that holds the original, omnipresent, divine, life-giving presence, blueprint and promise within itself. Unchanged. Ever pure, ever radiant and potent, while so subtle, gentle and mesmerising. In this one droplet lay the waters of the whole universe; it held all memory, all life. It felt as if, without any effort, this one droplet could restore all water everywhere to the purity of consciousness in liquid form that it has always been, simply by releasing itself back into the ocean of water that it also is, as if creation itself had kept it in suspension to safeguard the eternal memory of the first arrival of water in the universe.
The Ancient World knows what we speak of in our long-worded Western language, and it knows what to do when the time is right, and so the story continues as we coordinate with other global networks a Global Water Ceremony during the Waitaha Water Gathering in Aotearoa.
Above all, and this is what Para PachaMama has always been about, this is about you and your relationship with Water, with Earth, with your cells. It is about embodiment, about living your birthright to ceremony and to conscious connection with all life, and about us as a network inspiring you to do this.
Kia Ora, and Haere Mai. Arohanui.
From the Para PachaMama journal, October 2014, restored from the original Blogger archive, with its closing appeal for travel support for the Waitaha Grandmothers, Grandfathers and Mokopuna left out now that the Gathering has been held. Read how it unfolded on the Waitaha Water Gathering page.
