On the 22nd of March, World Water Day, we officially open the calling and begin a journey leading up to this Global Water Gathering in Aotearoa, New Zealand. We hope you will support our efforts and be with us in prayer, as this unique event has never before occurred on Earth. We are in all this together, and may you find your own connection and deepening with Water this year.
Water unifies us all. On March 22nd join the world in the synchronised Global Water Ceremony, at 3pm in your local time, held with our partners at UNIFY, restoring our relationship with this sacred medium of life.

Every fifty years, around the time of October 15th to 22nd Gregorian Calendar Time, our Elders of the Waitaha Nation would meet and speak and record the significant weather and water stories, in cave dwellings, our libraries, and in carved and tuhi-tuhi, our world famous script, untranslated writings.

This year, and for the first time in their entire history,
the Waitaha Nation is opening its fifty-year Water Gathering
to the world,
for us to join,
to support,
and to cause the turning of the tides,
for Earth’s waters,
for Mother Earth.
Papatūānuku, Pachamama, Gaia.
We are all her children.
We all drink from the same worldwide Well.
May we welcome you into the world of the Ancient Water Carriers.
Gathering the wisdom, science, knowledge and sacred records
The Waitaha Nation of Aotearoa holds itself as a collective of remnants who have survived the many arrivals and departures of those who came looking for land, people and resources, an original people of these lands whose story reaches back some ten thousand years. Waitaha is older than old.
This Gathering is about bringing all these Wisdoms, Teachings and their Keepers together so that our children, our Mokopuna, will inherit a future filled with our Collective Wisdom and Enlightenment.
The Waitaha Nation, 2014
The Waitaha Water Gathering and the 2014 International Forum on Water, a Sacred Water Gathering held from the 15th to the 22nd of October 2014 at Waitangi, New Zealand, is called for by the Nation of Waitaha and organised for us all by Para PachaMama ~ Spirit of Earth, its partner organisations and many Ambassadors. World Water Day is also the day its registration opens.
